{"id":89899,"date":"2023-10-06T13:57:03","date_gmt":"2023-10-06T18:57:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/engineering.wisc.edu\/?p=89899"},"modified":"2023-10-10T13:13:07","modified_gmt":"2023-10-10T18:13:07","slug":"del-pia-adds-another-informs-honor","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/engineering.wisc.edu\/blog\/del-pia-adds-another-informs-honor\/","title":{"rendered":"Del Pia adds another INFORMS honor"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/directory.engr.wisc.edu\/ie\/Faculty\/Del-pia_Alberto\/\">Alberto Del Pia<\/a>, an associate professor of <a href=\"https:\/\/engineering.wisc.edu\/departments\/industrial-systems-engineering\/\">industrial and systems engineering<\/a> at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, has earned the 2023 INFORMS Computing Society Prize for a series of papers at the intersection of operations research and computer science.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Del Pia will accept the award along with coauthor and collaborator Aida Khajavirad, an assistant professor at Lehigh University, at the 2023 INFORMS (Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences) Annual Meeting, which is set for Oct. 15-18 in Phoenix.
