SUMMARY:ECE Virtual Alumni Town Hall
DESCRIPTION:ECE Alumni-We hope you will join us for this one-hour event hosted by ECE Department Chair Susan Hagness. During the Town Hall\, we will be exploring the very timely topic of energy systems related to the rapid growth of Artificial Intelligence (AI).  ECE Associate Professor and Grainger Institute Fellow Line Roald will share her research on the energy use and associated carbon emissions of AI data centers. We will also be joined by ECE PhD students Asmita Pal\, Elise Song\, and Zhewen Pan who earned first place in the inaugural campus-wide\, N+1 Institute Reverse Pitch Competition sponsored by Google.  This competition challenged students to focus on the area of sustainability for AI data centers. \n\n\n\nAfterward\, there will be time for your questions.
